Isabelle Vandeplassche brings the small details to the forefront of her work, highlighting the delicate aesthetics of the sunny Portuguese fisherman’s village where she currently resides in gouache and watercolour. Isabelle finds inspiration in the everyday; domestic objects and practices, botanical gardens, flea markets–intertwining the exotic reaches of the globe, from the Mediterranean to Morocco, with the simple comfort of being home.
